Pinnacle is conscious that there are capable and committed individuals who can break into the vicious cycle of neglect of the poor and the exploited.
Callous neglect and utter disregard that causes
• Wasted childhood
• Ill health
• Hungry stomachs and
• A bleak future that breeds vices and eventually self destruction
Committed individuals with determination and courage become social entrepreneurs. They are striving to bridge the ever growing gap between the bottom of the pyramid and its upper layers in a country whose economic engine can now be harnessed to deliver the power to change.
Pinnacle is constantly on the quest for identifying such social entrepreneurs and rally round them to radically improve their potential to have a larger footprint.
Pinnacle focuses on four key components of the socio-economic development framework for rural India so as to improve the Human Development Index(see HDI below) for India. These components lend support to each other forming a virtuous circle enabling a long-term sustainable growth.
The HDI provides a composite measure of three dimensions of human development: living a long and healthy life (measured by life expectancy), being educated (measured by adult literacy and enrolment at the primary, secondary and tertiary level) and having a decent standard of living (measured by purchasing power parity (PPP) income)
