Who is a Social Entrepreneur?

A social entrepreneur is someone who spots a social problem and then uses entrepreneurial skills to create and manage a venture that ultimately brings measurable social change / impact.

A business entrepreneur typically measures the performance of the business in terms of the regular profits and the return on capital employed as well as in terms of the wealth that the business creates in the form of enterprise value.

A social entrepreneur, on the other hand, measures the success of his venture in terms of the impact he or she has created on a society through eradication of inequality and providing equal opportunities for disadvantaged members of a society.
